Transactional Finance Manager
Axon Moore is partnering with a highly successful manufacturing business in Blackburn that has experienced significant growth in recent years. We are seeking an experienced Transactional Finance Manager who can hit the ground running in a fast‑paced environment.
In this role you will manage the day‑to‑day performance of the AP and AR team, ensuring clear priorities, high standards of accuracy and delivery against deadlines.
Key Responsibilities and Duties- Lead and coach the AP & AR team, ensuring clear priorities, high standards of accuracy and delivery against agreed deadlines.
- Oversee workload allocation to ensure effective resource planning across the team.
- Set clear objectives, monitor performance and identify development opportunities.
- Identify and implement processes, controls and operational efficiencies.
- Deliver accurate and timely AP & AR processes including invoice processing, payment runs, customer cash allocation, reconciliations and query resolution.
- Own and improve customer and supplier master data processes.
- Prepare and maintain short‑term cash flow forecasts to support planning and decision‑making.
- Monitor and report working KPIs, performance and maintain strong financial controls.
- Proven experience leading teams across both AP and AR.
- Strong understanding of the transactional finance reporting cycle.
- Confidence using financial systems and Excel.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proactive and solution‑focused approach.
- Confidence in setting clear expectations.
- Starting salary up to £50,000.
- 37.5 hours per week.
