Our client, a well-established and highly respected independent Chartered financial planning firm, is looking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner to join its growing technical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable paraplanner who enjoys working closely with Financial Planners, producing high-quality financial planning recommendations, and playing an integral role in delivering outstanding client outcomes.
The role offers a varied mix of technical research, report writing, adviser support and client interaction, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being involved throughout the entire financial planning process.
The OpportunityWorking alongside experienced Financial Planners, you'll provide technical expertise across a broad range of financial planning cases while helping to ensure clients receive tailored, compliant and effective advice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting detailed research across pensions, investments, retirement planning, tax planning and protection solutions
- Preparing high-quality suitability reports and recommendation letters
- Supporting Financial Planners in developing bespoke financial planning strategies
- Attending client meetings where appropriate or participating in adviser debriefs to fully understand client objectives
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout the advice process
- Responding to client enquiries and providing ongoing technical support
- Reviewing client investment portfolios, risk profiles and asset allocations
- Preparing client illustrations and financial planning documentation
- Liaising with providers, solicitors, accountants and other professional connections where required
- Supporting the implementation of recommendations and ensuring cases progress efficiently
- Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring all documentation meets FCA and compliance requirements
- Keeping up to date with legislative, regulatory and industry developments
- Previous experience as a Paraplanner within an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) or Wealth Management business
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning
, or be actively working towards achieving it - Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, retirement planning and taxation
- Experience writing high-quality suitability reports
- Excellent analytical, research and report-writing skills
- Outstanding attention to detail and organisational ability
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional standards
- A proactive attitude and genuine passion for financial planning
