Working on our busy ceremony programme, registering or conducting statutory ceremonies at our registration offices or at our external approved venues or sometimes in religious buildings; all premises you attend will be within the boundary of Lancashire County Council. Our ideal applicant will

• Have excellent customer service skills, putting the customer at the heart of every conversation.
• Be organised and have good time management when completing tasks.
• Possess strong digital skills to create and maintain accurate records promptly.
• Be a confident communicator, able to deal with a wide range of customers; you will be able to remain personable whilst asking technical questions and operating within a stringent legal framework. Full training on our processes will be provided to equip you with the necessary knowledge., Annualised hours
  The Government has confirmed that local government across Lancashire will be reorganised, with the current 15 councils being replaced by four new unitary councils covering North, South, East and West Lancashire from April 2028.

If you are successful in your application, you will initially join Lancashire County Council. However, as part of the planned transition, your employment will transfer to one of the new unitary councils from April 2028, subject to the implementation of the reorganisation and relevant employment legislation. Throughout this period,
These roles are annualised contracts, meaning you will work your hours over the year, for example 416 or 520 etc., but the hours you work each week will vary depending on demand. The annual salary will be pro-rata. Work patterns are agreed in advance in accordance with the needs of the service but caveat that there may be occasions when the officer is required to work outside of this pattern.,
