Residential Night Care Assistant

Lancashire County Council – Woodside, Padiham – Part Time, Fixed Term (until 30/04/2026)

Salary: £24,796 – £25,185 per annum.

Hours:

20 hours per week (pro rata).

Shift rota: 22:00–08:00. Six‑week cycle:

• Week 1 – Sun, Fri, Sat
• Week 2 – Thu, Fri
• Week 3 – Wed, Thu
• Week 4 – Tue, Wed
• Week 5 – Mon, Tue
• Week 6 – Sun, Mon, Sat

You will support older people to live their lives their way, providing compassionate care and assistance during the night shift. The role requires flexibility in a rotating schedule and a dedication to safety, dignity, and kindness.

• Previous care or similar experience.
• Evidence of values, attitudes, and behaviours aligned with quality care.
• Willingness to undertake training and support to meet The Care Certificate standards.
• Completion of experience and education sections in the application (required for shortlisting).

• Works across 16 care homes and 13 day centres in Lancashire, supporting over 1,000 adults including those with dementia.
• Covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975; requires Disclosure and Barring Service check.
