Care & Support Worker (Deaf Service)
We have fantastic new opportunities to join us and support our d/Deaf service users in Blackburn. We are looking for confident Care & Support Workers with the passion to both deliver outstanding care, alongside play a role in empowering d/Deaf service users to access the same recovery opportunities as their hearing peers. You will be working Full time(42 hours per week) across a mixed shift pattern of 3/4 12 hour shifts per weekwith a focus on supporting our d/Deaf(profound, severe, partial or hard of hearing) service users with mental health needs, inside our new Deaf community step down setting in Blackburn.
This role requires native British Sign Language usage or a minimum Signature Level 2 as it is a deaf service.
Note:
We are also able to offer BSL Signature Level 2 training within our nearby Bury Dunes Hospital for candidates who are passionate about building a career within our d/Deaf services.
- You may be d/Deaf yourself.
- Have experience working or living with Deaf people before.
- You can sign in BSL Qualified in Signature BSL to a minimum of Level 2 or willing to gain this accreditation through us.
- As a person you are a strong worker and team player.
- Are looking to help support d/Deaf people.
- Have an interest in helping d/Deaf people with mental health problems.
- Salary: £13.85 per hour
