A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Ward Manager to join our Ward 6 at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals. The successful candidate should be motivated and have the ability to inspire the staff and have previous experience and evidence implementing changes and embedding good practice.
It is essential that you can work as part of a multidisciplinary team demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to support the development of the service. The successful applicant needs to have excellent organisational and time management skills. You will need to be a good communicator, be self-motivated, provide high standards of clinical skills and have the ability to influence and drive innovative practice within a fast growing and exciting department.

Your role is pivotal in leading the team ensuring these high standards are met and both supporting and developing our team members.

responsibilities
To provide clinical and managerial leadership to the ward team, ensuring that action is taken at all levels to empower the team in providing demonstrably high standards of care in a clean and safe environment. The post holder will be visible and recognisable to patients, relatives and staff and act as a champion for quality and equality of standards and patient care within the Trust
Person Specification Qualifications- Registered Nurse (1st Level @ minimum Diploma) or HCPC registered
- Degree
- Teaching & Assessing qualification
- Leadership course
- Substantial post registration and management experience
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Experience of strategic &/or clinical leadership
- Experience of managing several clinical areas and teams
