Psychologist - specialist school

Shire Healthcare are working with a leading provider of specialist care and education recruiting for a Psychologist to be based in Preston.

About the employer:

This employer is an independent leading provider of specialist care and education. They work with children and young people in either an educational and/or residential setting who present a complexity of needs including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions, autism, ADHD, and special educational needs.

Role snapshot:

The candidate appointed be joining an MDT working with children and young people (ages 9-18) as well as supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide engaging care. The post holder will conduct assessments, formulations and deliver 121 interventions to service users.

You will provide consultation, training and workshops while contributing to service development initiatives.

Contract type – permanent and term time

Hours – 3 days per week

Salary - The term-time salary scale is £54,500 - £64,000 (32,750 – £38,400 for 3 days pw)

Experience required:

Candidates applying will be registered with the HCPC, along with having previous experience working with children and young people with complex needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH and /or learning disabilities.
