Every day as a Senior Care Assistant is different, but your impact is always the same - life-changing.
Responsibilities- Support the delivery of the highest quality care in the community
- Complete assessments and reviews of individual care services
- Provide practical supervision, instruction, and support to Care Assistants
- Work with Care Coordinators to plan effective and realistic care worker rotas
- Carry out regular needs and risk assessments, including renewed and repeated reviews
- Participate in multi-disciplinary reviews of service users' needs
- Shadow new care workers to ensure their competence and confidence
- Observe and evaluate care worker practice as part of routine supervision or when performance concerns arise
- Provide personal care with dignity and respect
- Complete essential administrative tasks linked to care delivery and service quality
- Senior Care Assistants spend most of their time in the community fulfilling these responsibilities, while also supporting office-based administration as required
