Speech & Language Therapist

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join the NHS on an ongoing temporary contract based in Preston. This role is working 9am to 5pm, Monday and Tuesday, and 9am to 2pm Wednesday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide specialist Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to adults within a community setting.

* Assess and manage patients with communication and swallowing difficulties.

* Provide specialist input for patients with dysphagia.

* Develop and implement appropriate treatment and management plans based on individual patient needs.

* Monitor patient progress and adapt interventions where required.

* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals.

* Provide appropriate advice, guidance and support to patients, families and carers.

* Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records.

About You

* Relevant qualification as a Speech and Language Therapist.

* Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

* Experience working within adult Speech and Language Therapy services.

* Dysphagia training and experience.

* Strong experience assessing and managing communication difficulties.
