As an integrated Trust, Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) delivers a comprehensive range of services, including:
- Primary and secondary mental health care for children and adults, including specialist inpatient child and adolescent mental health provision, perinatal mental health, and forensic services with low and medium secure care.
- Specialist mental health inpatient care for individuals with learning disabilities, alongside specialist community support for children and adults with learning disabilities and autism, including intensive support.
- Extensive community physical health and well-being services for children and adults, covering prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and long-term condition management.
The Trust was first established in 2002 and employs approximately 7,500 staff who provide care from more than 400 sites. The organisation offers opportunities for medics, mental health, general nurses, children’s nurses, allied health professionals, psychology, administration and clerical staff, apprentices and volunteers, as well as those specialising in learning disabilities and community physical health services.

This is an exciting and new opportunity for a Healthcare support Worker to join the Fylde Coast Home Treatment Team. The Fylde Coast Home Treatment Team offer 7days support to service users, and their families/carers, who are suffering from mental health concerns that would otherwise require admission to an acute in patient environment. There is a strong focus on a recovery model and effective risk management to provide quality care in a community setting.
The Fylde Coast Home Treatment Team are always striving towards excellence in service delivery and ensuring that the Trust values are achieved. The successful applicant will be dynamic and forward thinking with the ability to work as part of a Team and in partnership with local services.
There will be an expectation that the successful applicant will undertake shift work as part of their role. Successful applicants will be provided with a full induction and appraisal to formulate a Personal Development Plan and to identify training and development needs.

Main duties of the jobTo assist in the provision of assessment, care and treatment for those with a diagnosis of moderate to severe mental illness who are experiencing a mental health crisis, with a relapse in symptoms and risk to themselves and others, as an alternative to hospital admission, and to facilitate early discharge from psychiatric in-patient settings.
The post holder is expected to contribute and support the day to day functioning of this service, and the post holder would have the opportunity to work creatively within the team to meet the demands and needs of the service and the service-users.
The post holder would work without direct supervision on completion of their initial induction programme.
Support to carry out this role would be provided by the management, clinical and staff team.
