Overview
Are you an experienced HR Coordinator or HR Administrator looking for your next opportunity within a busy construction or engineering environment? We're recruiting on behalf of a growing business for an HR Coordinator to join their Head Office team in Bolton. You'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the HR function, supporting managers and employees across recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, employee relations and compliance.
Working closely with the People Manager, you'll help ensure HR processes are efficient, compliant and deliver an excellent employee experience.
- 28,000 - 33,000 depending on experience.
- Permanent, full-time position.
- Fully office-based role in Bolton.
- 40-hour working week.

- Coordinate recruitment activities, interviews and onboarding for new employees.
- Prepare contracts, offer letters and employment documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Manage probation reviews, contract amendments and employee lifecycle administration.
- Produce HR reports including headcount, absence, recruitment and training data.
- Provide first-line HR support to managers and employees.
- Coordinate training, inductions and compliance records.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and HR projects.
- Ensure HR practices remain compliant with UK employment legislation and GDPR.
- Previous experience in an HR Coordinator or HR Administrator role.
- Experience with in construction, engineering, facilities management, manufacturing or a similar industry is essential.
- Good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience managing recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and HR systems.
- CIPD Level 3 qualified essential and working towards a Level 5 is advantageous.
