Senior HR Officer

We are seeking a Senior HR Advisor to provide expert HR guidance and support across various HR functions. This role is pivotal in managing recruitment processes, advising on HR policies, and leading HR initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in HR practices, with a strong ability to manage complex HR issues and drive HR strategies.
Day-to-day of the role:- Provide HR support and guidance on various HR areas, acting as a subject matter expert.
- Lead the HR/Recruitment Unit, managing all stages of the recruitment and selection process in accordance with force policy.
- Liaise with Recruitment team to coordinate activities, including advertisements, response handling, short-listing, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Offer advice on conditions of service to both line managers and candidates. Serve as the primary contact members of staff, addressing any HR issues.
- Support performance management processes for secondees and agency staff.
- Monitor and manage contracts with recruitment agencies and fixed-term posts, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and review of job descriptions and manage a caseload related to various HR matters such as change management, discipline, and grievance handling.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a HR Officer with strong knowledge of Employee Relations processes and HR policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with various stakeholders.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Experience in managing a diverse range of HR issues, including change management.
- Proficient in HR systems and data analysis, with the ability to produce detailed reports and recommendations.
