IT Engineer

Join the Campus IT Engineer team as an IT Engineer. Provide second‑line technical support to university users, including on‑site and remote support. Utilize ITIL‑based processes to resolve incidents and service requests. Collaborate with AV services to support audio‑visual equipment, and assist with campus‑wide deployment of Windows 11.

• Provide on‑site and remote technical support to end users.
• Handle incidents and service requests using ITIL processes.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues across PC and AV systems.
• Assist AV team in supporting audio‑visual equipment at learning spaces.
• Participate in the deployment of Windows 11 across the campus.
• Work closely with ISS teams to support new and existing services.
• Support normal business hours; occasional paid work outside those hours may be required.

• Experience in a team‑based IT service environment.
• Knowledge of PC and audio‑visual systems used in higher education.
• Strong IT and problem‑solving skills with a user‑focused approach.

• Full‑time indefinite contract with competitive salary of £26,707 to £30,378.
• Campus‑based role based in Bailrigg, Lancaster, UK.
