The role:

We're looking for a proactive Azure Dev Ops Engineer to join a high-performing technology team delivering modern cloud and data solutions using Microsoft Azure.

You'll play a key role in designing, implementing and supporting Azure cloud infrastructure, enabling secure, scalable and automated deployments across enterprise environments. Working alongside software engineers, data engineers and solution architects, you'll help drive Dev Ops best practices while building resilient cloud platforms that support business-critical services.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys automation, infrastructure as code and continuous improvement, whilst working with modern Azure data technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, build and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Develop, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Git Lab.
  • Deploy and support Azure data services including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Lake.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform.
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture and data teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise cloud infrastructure performance and reliability.
  • Champion Dev Ops best practices, automation and continuous improvement.
  • Support cloud security, governance and operational excellence across Azure environments.
  • Work proactively to identify opportunities for process improvements and technical innovation.
Skills & Experience:
  • Strong commercial experience working with Microsoft Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Experience working with Azure Data Lake.
  • Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform.
  • Experience developing and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Git Lab.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Kafka Connect
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud security and Azure best practices.
