Travel:
Candidates must be able to travel to a DWP hub when required. On-site availability should be confirmed.

We are seeking an experienced Dev Ops Consultant to support the Azure Data Platform within Health and Disability.

You will develop CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops tool chains, with a strong focus on automation, cloud infrastructure, resilience and continuous improvement. You will work closely with product teams to deliver secure, scalable and maintainable Azure solutions.

• Strong Azure Cloud experience, particularly Azure Data services.
• Hands-on Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Git Lab CI/CD and Dev Ops tooling.
• Monitoring experience with Prometheus/Grafana
  .
• Unix/Linux/Windows and scripting experience.
• Experience working in Agile Dev Ops / Platform Engineering environments.
• Experience supporting and developing engineers through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership of loosely defined technical work.
• Experience delivering PoCs, proof of capabilities and technical improvements.
• Active SC Clearance.

The interview will include a problem-solving exercise assessing technical depth, engineering judgement, communication and approach to problem solving. Candidates should be comfortable explaining their decisions, assumptions and technical trade-offs.

Ideal candidate: A proactive, autonomous Dev Ops engineer with strong Azure Data Platform experience who can take ownership, solve complex problems and drive delivery.
