A market-leading consumer goods business is seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead its end-to-end operational function across manufacturing, warehousing, fulfilment, planning and logistics.

This is a hands‑on leadership role within a fast-moving, multi-channel business supplying both B2B and direct-to-consumer markets. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational excellence, improving service performance and leading large operational teams through continued growth and change.

The Role

Reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, you will be responsible for the complete operational lifecycle, including:

  • Leading high-volume fulfilment operations across both B2B and B2C channels.
  • Managing warehousing, inventory control and logistics.
  • Driving OTIF performance, stock accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Overseeing production planning and manufacturing operations.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives across multiple operational functions.
  • Developing and mentoring operational leadership teams.
  • Supporting major business improvement and automation projects.
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver strategic business objectives.
About You

You will be an experienced operational leader with a proven track record within a fast-paced FMCG, retail, e-commerce or distribution environment.

You'll bring:

  • Significant experience leading high-volume fulfilment operations.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing, logistics and inventory management.
  • Experience managing both B2B and B2C distribution.
  • Exposure to manufacturing or production planning environments.
  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to motivate large operational teams.
  • Experience delivering measurable operational improvements through Lean or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to balance operational excellence with business objectives.
  • Resilience and adaptability within a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
Why Apply?

This is a rare opportunity to join a growing organisation where you'll have genuine influence over operational strategy, people development and business performance.
