Head of Sales – Blackpool
Our client, a well‑established and reputable organisation in the motor trade, is seeking an experienced Head of Sales to lead and manage their sales function. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to take ownership of sales performance, drive profitability and lead a high‑performing team within a fast‑paced automotive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, inspire and manage the sales team to consistently exceed targets
- Drive departmental profitability through strategic planning and effective team management
- Foster a positive and accountable working culture
- Deliver a consistently exceptional customer experience
- Oversee all aspects of the sales function including finance, retail sales and administration
- Work closely with senior management to support business growth strategies
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulatory and manufacturer requirements
- Monitor and analyse sales performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Provide regular sales reports and performance updates to senior stakeholders
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory changes
- Significant experience in a senior sales management role within the motor trade (5+ years preferred)
- Previous experience as a General Sales Manager or General Manager
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Deep understanding of the automotive retail environment
- Experience managing large teams across multi‑franchise operations
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Strong knowledge of car finance products and related compliance requirements
- Commercially minded with a strategic approach to sales growth
- £50k Basic DOE – £70k OTE
