Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Programme Manager, Organisational Transition (6-9 Month FTC)

Acre is partnering with The Copper Mark on the search for an experienced Programme Manager on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract. You will support a major moment of change for the organisation and the wider mining and metals sector.

As demand for responsibly produced metals continues to grow, The Copper Mark sits at the centre of efforts to support sustainable mining practices across global supply chains. This role plays a key part in shaping what comes next.

The Copper Mark is transitioning into the organisation that will own and oversee the Consolidated Mining Standard Initiative (CMSI). CMSI is a collaboration between The Copper Mark, ICMM, the Mining Association of Canada, and the World Gold Council, bringing together existing voluntary mining standards into a single global standard.

This role will act as the main point of contact for managing the internal transition. You will work closely with senior leadership and governance bodies to keep the process moving smoothly, clearly, and on time.

Responsibilities

This is a hands-on programme role with plenty of variety. You'll be responsible for managing the moving parts of a complex organisational transition, including:

  • Developing and maintaining a detailed internal transition plan, covering timelines, costs, tasks, risks, and dependencies
  • Coordinating across leadership teams covering CMSI, core business, and value chain activities
  • Supporting governance changes and internal operating processes
  • Managing workflows, trackers, SharePoint, and budget oversight
  • Supporting SLT with programme management, administration, and ad hoc priorities
  • Preparing reports and updates for governance bodies

You'll be comfortable working with ambiguity, switching between strategic planning and practical delivery as needed.

Profile

You'll be a confident programme manager who enjoys making order out of complexity and keeping multiple priorities moving forward. You bring:

  • At least 5 years' experience managing projects or programmes
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Experience working under pressure with competing deadlines
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Another language is a bonus

If you're excited by the idea of supporting a global organisation through a meaningful period of change, we'd love to hear from you. Please reach out to for a confidential chat.
