Summary

Are you a supervisor/assistant site manager with experience in the recycling/waste management industry? We are looking for a Site Manager to oversee daily operations at our Salt Ayre site, applying best practices in customer service, compliance, and safety.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: £47,348 per annum
Company car or car allowance: £7,734.80 per annum
Annual bonus: up to 10%
Life assurance: 3× policy
Holiday: 25 days + 8 bank holidays
Pension: 5% employer contribution

Eligibility

Must hold a WAMITAB Level 4, COTC, and NEBOSH or IOSH certificate. Must be willing to travel to other Lancashire sites as needed for coverage.

About the role

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Site Manager will manage daily site activities, ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance, leading a team, and maintaining performance KPIs. Responsibilities include operating mobile plant, achieving high recycling and recovery rates, managing material flow, and delivering excellent customer service to the local authority client and general public. The role also involves identifying value‑adding opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative operating systems
  • Supervisory experience
  • WAMITAB Level 4, COTC, and NEBOSH or IOSH certificate
