The roleThe Programme and Governance Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting the Pride in Fleetwood Board to translate local priorities and deliver the ambitions of the government's Pride in Place programme. The postholder will lead the development, coordination and delivery of the Board's strategic plans through strong programme management and governance. The role will help ensure the Board operates effectively and meets statutory and reporting requirements through robust and effective administration, budgetary and financial monitoring and reporting, development of funding opportunities and business case development.
The post will oversee stakeholder and community engagement plans, and communications. It will have administrative and line management functions and will support the Chair in ensuring effective Board operation and decision making so that projects deliver maximum impact for the local community.
The right fit- Proven experience in project or programme management with financial administration and governance responsibilities.
- A project management qualification.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience working with multiple partners and maintaining productive relationships.
- Experience of community engagement and stakeholder management.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and deliver high‑quality outputs.
- The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Basic DBS check.
- Experience working with community regeneration, place‑based projects, or public sector partnerships.
- Understanding of government funding frameworks and reporting pathways.
- Knowledge of Fleetwood and local socio‑economic context.
