About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Production Leader to provide strong frontline leadership within a busy manufacturing environment. You will oversee daily operations for a team of colleagues, ensuring smooth production flow, high engagement, safe working practices and continuous improvement.
This role requires someone who can hit the ground running, bring significant hands‑on manufacturing leadership experience, and proactively drive performance, efficiency and cost‑reduction activities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day‑to‑day frontline leadership and supervision of a 25-30‑person manufacturing team
Ensure daily operations run smoothly with high team engagement
Maintain strong focus on Health & Safety standards and compliance
Drive forward‑looking improvements and operational efficiencies
Support initiatives to reduce operating costs
Lead and facilitate TIER 2 daily meetings, working with engineering, planning and safety teams
Review ongoing activities and discuss forward production plans
Collate operational data and create daily/weekly reports
Feed updates, risks and recommendations into Elaine (Production Manager)
Act as a visible, supportive leader on the shop floor
Experience & Skills Required
Essential
5+ years' experience in a manufacturing leadership role
Strong people‑management and team‑engagement skills
Proven ability to operate independently and "hit the ground running"
Ability to manage daily priorities while looking ahead to plan and improve operations
Confident communicator, able to run structured meetings and cross‑functional discussions Desirable
Supervisory, engineering or management-related qualifications
Experience with continuous improvement, lean methodologies, or cost‑reduction initiatives
