Production Operative; Technican

Overview

Following a successful recent recruitment round, we are now looking for an additional team member to support our continued growth in our Laminating Department. Reporting to the Value Stream Leader and working as part of a supportive team, the Technician would be responsible for manufacturing a wide range of complex parts.

• Layering pre-cut, pre-preg sheets of material onto an aluminium tool to create a specific component for a customer (referred to as “Laminating”).
• Following specific work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (with full training provided by an experienced Laminator).
• Preparing laminated components for the autoclave; wrapping the component in protective material and positioning it in a vacuum bag.
• Assisting with loading and unloading Autoclave as required.
• Inspecting completed components to ensure they meet the required standard before they leave the department.
• Ensuring components are properly protected for transportation to the next department.
• Maintaining all tools to a satisfactory condition and adhering to health and safety requirements.
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
• Governance and compliance with company policies; all statutory regulations, QHSE and HR procedures.
• Enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in doing tasks carefully and accurately.
• Naturally detail-oriented and reliable.
• Listens well and follows both verbal and written instructions.
• Always keen to learn new skills and improve.
• Comfortable and safe using hand tools such as scissors and retractable knives.
• Communicates clearly and positively with others.
• A friendly, fun team player who is helpful, flexible, and cooperative.
