Job Description
Produces heat pipe assemblies for internal and external customers using semi-automated equipment following proper procedures and techniques administered from engineering department using work instructions.
ResponsibilitiesA fully qualified Production Assembler I will complete all 17 steps to engineering standards. A fully qualified Production Assembler II will complete all 17 steps of Production Assembler I plus obtain three Production Assembler II skills. Other duties may be assigned.

Production Assembler I Responsibilities- Mandrel Pull/Preparation 10. Auto Processing
- Manual Powder Fill 11. Furnace Operation
- Heat Pipe Packaging 12. Pipe Bending
- Swaging 13. Manual and Auto Assembly
- Auto Evacuation 14. Manual Raw Comp Cleaning
- Solder Dip 15. Auto Welding/Assembly (T-Base)
- Dionized Fill 16. Operate Presses
- Warm-Up Test 17. Mix and Apply Epoxies
- Auto Powder Fill
- Brazing
4. Operating CNC Milling Machines - Manual Heat Pipe Processing
5. Build Complete HXI Unit - Manual Welding
6. Attach Parts using Solder Sheet or Paste - Performs repetitive motion activities on a daily basis.
- Reads, writes, and understands detailed work instructions and basic math skills.
- Completes shop floor traveler documents.
- Works at different workstations as production needs require.
