Job Description & How to Apply Below

Our Client is a small, profitable and rapidly expanding Design and Manufacturer of Specialist Engineered Systems for the global automotive aftermarket. They have an enviable reputation for Product design and quality and currently have a dealer network across the UK and the rest of Continental Europe.

A new product has recently been launched and the order book is currently full. The next challenge for the business is to completely review current operations with a view to creating an agile organisation that can deliver 2-3 times the current maximum output, efficiently and cost effectively.

This expansion needs to be carefully managed, and the Managing Director is currently looking to recruit a Manufacturing Manager to help initiate and implement these developments.

The main-focus of this role is to successfully manage the day to day running of production, supply chain, product delivery, warranty/after sales.

Key responsibilities
  • Achieve production and operational objectives working closely with the MD.
  • Closely manage the supply chain to ensure a smooth flow of product through the factory.
  • Develop and grow your team to be champions of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate business process improvement priorities.
  • Understand and fix production constraints, through being a visible presence around the business that is seen to be positive and proactive.
  • Look to the future to understand the impact of the next wave of product launches to minimise disruption.
Candidate profile
  • Have gained their experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally automotive or related sector.
  • Be an excellent people manager who enjoys maximising team potential.
  • Be a hands‑on problem solver with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Be process driven and will introduce standardisation across the facility wherever possible.
  • Be customer focused and commercially aware.

This will be a high paced, challenging position and will work as part of a close‑knit management team. Based on success, the role has the potential to develop into a full Operations Director position as the organisation continues to grow.
