Overview

Recruit4staff are representing an established engineering business in their search for a Pipefitter / Pipefitter Welder to work from workshops in Skelmersdale and Widnes.

• Pay:
  Up to £28 per hour (CIS) with overtime paid at £32 per hour (CIS)
• Hours of Work: 7:00–16:30 Monday to Thursday, 7:00–12:00 Friday (41 hours)
• Duration:
  Temporary (long-term temporary role)

• Pay: £24.50 per hour (CIS)
• Overtime available at enhanced rates
• Hours of Work: 07:30 – 16:00, Monday to Friday
• Duration:
  Temporary (Trial 2 weeks – leading to semi-permanent for the right candidate)

As a Pipefitter Welder, you’ll be working in the workshop fabricating a wide range of components from start to finish. Duties include TIG and MIG welding on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, pipe fabrication and welding using stainless and carbon steel. The Pipefitter Welder will interpret engineering drawings to plan and complete both mechanical and electrical pipe fitting tasks, ensuring accurate assembly, installation, and thorough quality checks throughout.

Responsibilities also include measuring, cutting, threading, welding and maintaining records.

• Pipe fabrication and fitting
• TIG pipe welding
• Competent working from engineering drawings
• Experience with stainless steel and carbon steel
• City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent in Welding and Fabrication

• Previously coded in TIG welding

• All workshop based
• Working with both ferrous and non-ferrous materials
• Overtime – project/job dependant and regular shutdowns
• Free parking on-site
