SRG are currently recruiting for an experienced Plant Manager on a permanent basis, based in Lancashire. This is a key leadership position, responsible for driving operational excellence and leading continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
The successful candidate will be a proven manufacturing leader with experience managing plant operations within a chemical, process, or manufacturing environment. You will play a critical role in delivering business objectives through effective people management, operational efficiency, and change management programmes.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Provide overall leadership and direction for site operations, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant plant performance
Manage and develop multidisciplinary teams, creating a high-performance and accountable culture
Lead and promote a proactive Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) culture, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company requirements
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, cost reduction and operational performance
Develop and implement change management strategies to support business growth
Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) relating to safety, production, quality and maintenance
Ensure effective resource planning to meet customer demand and operational targets
Lead investigations into incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Criteria:
Previous experience in a similar role with leadership role within chemical/ COMAH manufacturing or a related process industry
Demonstrable experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, compliance and best practices
Experience leading and embedding organisational and operational change
Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving abilities.
