About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Factory Manager to lead operations at their manufacturing plant in Queenstown . You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of factory production, including managing staff, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to safety regulations. This senior leadership role requires strong strategic thinking, excellent people management skills, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes.

You will drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of excellence and safety across the entire facility. This is a pivotal position responsible for the overall success of the manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all factory operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the factory team, ensuring high performance and adherence to company values.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Oversee budget management and resource allocation for the factory.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Significant experience (5+ years) in a senior management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large teams and complex operations.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and HSEQ standards.
  • Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and financial management skills.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is essential.
