Production Manager required for a rapidly growing business at an important part of its expansion. The successful candidate will oversee a team of 100+ in production and will deliver production outputs safely, on time and to specifications.
You will work with data and via KPIs to improve and implement new processes that can handle the scaling business. After investing in both machinery and growing the team the company needs to optimise production flow, minimise waste and build on the culture of continuous improvement.
A Production Manager with experience of managing a large team and driving change within a mechanical assembly environment is required. Working under the MD, the Production Manager will take full responsibility for all production issues on site. Production is currently split into teams with Supervisors within these.
The role will grow as the company continues to expand and further progression is available. This is a great opportunity to really make your mark in an exciting environment and to take the business to the next level.
The Production Manager Role- Delivering production safely, on time and to specification.
- Increasing throughput, capacity and labour productivity.
- Optimising production flow, factory layout and assembly processes.
- Improving schedule adherence and on:time delivery.
- Reducing WIP, bottlenecks, waste and manufacturing lead times.
- Embedding standardised work and robust assembly procedures.
- Driving right:first:time quality and reducing rework.
- Developing Team Leaders and building a high:performing production team.
- Establishing a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Using meaningful KPIs and data to drive daily performance.
- Experienced Production Manager (or equivalent) from a mechanical assembly environment.
- Experience of managing a large team to improve and scale operation performance.
- Data driven with an improvement focus.
- Experience of driving change and embedding a continuous improvements culture.
