Job Overview

  • Are you an experienced engagement and events professional with strong project‑management skills and a passion for creating meaningful public‑facing experiences? Join our friendly and ambitious Engagement team, where you’ll play a key role in delivering standout engagement activity and shape high‑quality events supporting stakeholder, public and community engagement.

Reporting To The Stakeholder Engagement Manager You Will

  • Deliver engagement events across physical, hybrid and online formats, including the University’s flagship Campus in the city and key stakeholder activities
  • Create engaging promotional content for events and stakeholder communications
  • Co‑ordinate public‑facing activities at festivals and community events

Research and Enterprise Services (RES)

As Engagement and Events Officer, you’ll be part of the Engagement team in RES, which delivers sector‑leading research, enterprise, innovation and engagement services. The Engagement team raises Lancaster University’s profile with key stakeholders through an annual engagement programme, leads civic engagement and provides high‑quality public and academic policy engagement support.

About You

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has:

  • Ability to plan and run high‑quality events
  • Strong project‑management skills
  • Experience of building effective relationships
  • Experience of creating engaging content for communication channels and promotional materials
  • A team‑oriented, flexible approach
