Working closely with the Divisional Midwifery & Nursing Director, you will be a visible, credible and inspirational leader, to provide professional, operational and strategic leadership across the division.
We are seeking a leader who combines clinical credibility with strong operational expertise and a strategic mindset. You will play a key role in leading high-performing teams, driving service improvement, managing change and ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate care for women, babies and families.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across maternity, nursing, allied health professions and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will help turn strategy into meaningful outcomes. You will support the delivery of our Nursing, Midwifery & AHP Strategy, Patient Experience and Involvement Strategy and Maternity & Neonatal Transformation Programme, while driving quality improvement, workforce development, performance and patient experience across the division.

Our maternity service supports around 4,300 births each year, offering women and families a choice of four birth settings to help create a personalized and positive maternity experience. We are proud to be home to a Level 3 Neonatal Unit, the Maternal Medicine Centre for Lancashire and South Cumbria, and a provider of specialist Fetal Medicine Services, delivering expert care to women and babies across the region.
