Staff Nurse Paediatric ED

Successful applicants will join an established paediatric nursing team in the Emergency Department to provide a 24‑hour paediatric nursing service. This is a fully rotational post with a shift pattern of days, nights, weekends and public holidays.

As a paediatric band 5 staff nurse you will:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to paediatric patients in an emergency setting.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality patient outcomes.
• Support the learning and development of team members and new staff through clinical supervision, preceptorship and mentorship.
• Maintain professional standards and safety protocols, including life‑support and equipment use.

• Registered Paediatric Nurse
• Student supervisor/assessor training
• PILS, EPALS/APLS certificate

• Ability to teach peers within the clinical area
• Evidence of continuous professional development
• Experience in team and ward management
• Safeguarding level 3 training

• Ability to establish priorities
