Purpose of the role
To oversee quality, safety, and compliance of supported housing managed by partner providers. The postholder will collect and review quarterly performance data, carry out property inspections, and verify that properties meet both contractual and statutory standards.
Key Responsibilities Performance Monitoring- Coordinate the completion of Quarterly Performance Monitoring Reports by supported housing providers.
- Review provider submissions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contractual and regulatory expectations.
- Maintain a schedule of returns and chase outstanding reports to ensure full coverage.
- Carry out property inspections to verify data reported by providers nationwide.
- Record and document findings accurately, including photographic evidence, and identify any discrepancies between on-site conditions and reported information.
- Provide written inspection reports highlighting compliance gaps, health and safety concerns, or service quality issues.
- Check that all FRA actions have been completed in accordance with the required timescales.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with supported housing providers to encourage compliance and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance to providers on data submission, safety standards, and good housing management practice.
- Monitor outcomes and agree improvement actions.
- Produce clear and concise reports summarising findings, trends, and risks for internal management and governance boards.
- Assist in developing performance dashboards and compliance trackers to support proactive oversight.
- Proven experience in housing management, compliance, or property inspection roles.
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation, fire safety, and housing quality standards.
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills; able to interpret data and evidence clearly.
- Confident communicator with strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and methodical approach to documentation and data integrity.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload across multiple sites.
- Full driving licence and car with willingness to travel to housing sites nationwide.
- HHSRS (Housing Health and Safety Rating System) awareness or fire safety qualification (e.g., Fire Safety Awareness, NEBOSH, or equivalent).
- Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) qualification or equivalent.
