Our client is a growing manufacturer supplying products into the food ingredients and supplements sector. They are looking to recruit an experienced
Quality Assurance Specialist to join their Quality team and play a key role in maintaining site standards, compliance and audit readiness.
This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with strong experience in
BRCGS standards, quality systems and document control who enjoys working within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
The RoleThe successful candidate will support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the site's Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with BRCGS requirements, customer expectations and food safety standards.
This role is heavily focused on
quality documentation, compliance, processes and systems
, making it ideal for someone with a strong QA background rather than a predominantly production or shop-floor-based quality role.
- Maintain and support the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Review and control quality documentation including SOPs, policies, specifications and records.
- Support BRCGS compliance and assist with audit preparation and follow-up actions.
- Conduct internal audits and monitor corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs).
- Investigate non-conformances and support root cause analysis activities.
- Ensure records and documentation are accurate, compliant and audit-ready.
- Monitor quality standards and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support customer, supplier and third-party audit requirements.
- Assist with HACCP-related activities and food safety compliance initiatives.
- Work closely with operational teams to promote best practice and quality standards across the site.
- Previous experience within a Quality Assurance role in food manufacturing, food ingredients, supplements or a similar regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of
BRCGS standards and quality systems.
- Experience with document control, compliance and audit preparation.
- Understanding of HACCP and food safety requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Confident investigating issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
