They are seeking a motivated Assistant Buyer (Trading) for their modern head office near Preston
.

Supporting the Trading team, you will help manage category performance, drive sales, and maximize profitability through effective supplier coordination.

• Maintain the price file and ensure accuracy across product categories.
• Help implement seasonal plans and accurately forecast promotional activity.
• Support negotiations for best pricing and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Conduct product benchmarking and store visits to stay competitive
• Ensure all offerings meet relevant commercial and legislative regulations.

• Previous commercial experience within a retail or wholesale environment.
• Strong analytical ability, negotiation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• An energetic team player who thrives under pressure and tight deadlines.
