This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established retail garden centre environment as a Horticultural Manager, taking responsibility for the plant area and supporting wider store operations. The role offers scope for progression into broader management responsibilities over time.

As Horticultural Manager, you will take ownership of the plant area, ensuring high standards of presentation, customer service, and commercial performance. You will play a key role in day‑to‑day retail operations, with regular responsibility for covering wider store management duties when required.

• Managing and developing the plant area to maintain strong retail standards and an excellent customer experience
• Leading, supporting, and motivating a small team within the department
• Taking responsibility for stock control, ordering, and replenishment
• Providing practical horticultural advice and guidance to customers
• Covering general store management duties on a regular basis
• Working closely with senior management to support operational delivery and improvements
• Maintaining compliance with health, safety, and store procedures

• Experience in a plant area, garden centre, or strong retail management background with horticultural knowledge
• A practical, hands‑on approach with strong organisational skills
• Confident leadership ability with a focus on team development and motivation
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high retail standards
• Good commercial awareness and customer service focus
• Flexibility to support wider store operations and work weekends as required
