Retail Supervisor

Overview

We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Hyndburn Retail Park, Blackburn. This is a permanent 39-hour full-time position working a variety of shifts, 5 days from 7 each week. For full-time positions, availability including weekends should be flexible.

• Hours: 39 hours per week across 5 days
• Pay: £13.61 per hour

• Be an important part of the management team and support the manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
• Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop the team of retail assistants.
• Take responsibility for the control of operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

• Trustworthy and reliable as you will be an important part of a small team; your team and customers will depend on you to do your job to the best of your ability at all times.
• Some experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or similar industries is helpful, but we would still love to hear from you if you think you’ve got what it takes to start an in-store management career.
• To complete a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) if hired, which will be sent to you via email and confirm if you have any previous or unspent convictions. Employment is subject to a satisfactory check.
