Hours: 20 hours across 4 days per week.

Pay: £10.95 – £12.81 per hour, depending on age.

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Hyndburn Retail Park, Blackburn. The position is a permanent part‑time role with a variety of shifts, requiring at least 20 hours over 4 days each week, including weekends. Early morning availability is essential.

• Age based pay:
• 16‑20 years old: £10.95 per hour
• 21+ years old: £12.81 per hour

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and a simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care during deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for customers to buy.
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean, and tidy.

• Friendly, positive, and hardworking approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy with a variety of tasks such as deliveries, till service, customer assistance, cleaning, and stock rotation.
• Reliable, as you will be an important part of a small team. Colleagues and customers rely on you to perform at each shift and not let the team down.
• A bit of flexibility with shifts. When other team members are on holiday, you may need to work slightly different hours to cover. Rota’s are planned three weeks in advance and external commitments are considered.
