Salary: NJC Grade D SCP7-11 £ 26,403 - £28,142 per annum

Eligibility: Open to employees currently on Notice/At Risk and internal applicants. Priority given to on‑notice employees.

The Housing Options Service delivers a wide variety of services to some of the most vulnerable residents of Blackpool. As a Housing Options Trainee you will be supported to develop a comprehensive understanding of the departmental functions, including frontline advice and assessment, early intervention, and homelessness prevention.

• Deliver services and duties under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017
• Provide frontline advice and assessment to clients seeking housing support
• Assist in early intervention and homeless prevention activities
• Develop working knowledge of the Housing Options department functions

• Excellent communication skills and ability to deal sensitively with customers
• Strong IT skills, self‑motivated, and able to work as part of a team
• Flexible and practical approach with a capacity to devise creative solutions to complex problems
• Desirable: knowledge or understanding of housing and homelessness issues
