Job Description
Salary £36,363 – £40,777. Permanent role as a Social Worker in Safeguarding Service, County‑wide.
We have launched Living Better Lives in Lancashire, our new strengths‑based vision for Adult Social Care. Through this initiative we are embedding innovative practice that will make a real difference to the lives of the communities we serve. We are looking for two Social Workers to support us in delivering our vision of helping people achieve what matters to them, living independently in a place they call home.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate safeguarding enquiries, working closely with individuals, families and partner agencies to ensure adults at risk are safe while maintaining their independence and dignity.
- Use a strengths‑based, person‑centred approach to empower people, reduce risk and achieve meaningful outcomes aligned with their goals.
- Collaborate and co‑produce with partners, community organisations, carers and the people we support to shape meaningful and personalised outcomes.
- Maintain and update accurate case records, reports and evidence of safeguarding actions.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, planning and review of services across the county.
Job requirements
- Registered with Social Work England, or in the process of registration.
- Experience in safeguarding adults, or equivalent experience in a social care setting.
- Strong communication, assessment and risk‑management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a dynamic, forward‑thinking team.
- Ability to travel to our East or West hubs as required.
