Blackpool Council is committed to creating a fair place where aspiration and ambition are encouraged. We are looking for an experienced, motivated and proactive
Housing Options Team Leader to help lead our Housing Options Service and make a real difference to the lives of residents facing housing difficulties and homelessness.
This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in delivering the Council's statutory homelessness and housing allocation functions, whilst leading a dedicated, specialist team focused on early intervention, preventing homelessness, supporting vulnerable residents, sustaining tenancies and improving housing outcomes across Blackpool.
A key aspect of the role will be to lead and support the team in reducing the use of temporary accommodation through effective homelessness prevention and housing solutions. Particular emphasis will be placed on minimising the need for interim accommodation and reducing reliance on bed and breakfast placements in line with statutory guidance and service objectives.
If you are passionate about delivering excellent customer-focused services, have substantial experience in homelessness and housing options, and can inspire and develop others, we would love to hear from you.
