As a Class 1 driver you will be responsible for the collection and delivery of small to large high‑value consignments that require special handling conditions. Within this role you will transport assets for our aerospace customer within the UK and Europe when required. This would be a great opportunity for any HGV driver looking to develop themselves within a unique operation.
Qualifications- Hold a valid Class 1 licence with full DCPC qualification and an in‑date passport.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills with a responsible, reliable, and professional attitude.
- Be flexible with working hours, including overtime, nights out, weekends and international work in line with WTD and EU Drivers' Hours Regulations.
- Multi‑drop, deliveries, collections experience is desirable.
- No more than 6 current penalty points:
No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous five years.
You will be contracted to work Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week, with a start time of 07:00 to 16:30. Work may include overtime, night drives, weekends and occasional nationwide and international assignments.
Responsibilities- Carry out inter‑site and intra‑site deliveries and collections across the Northwest, with occasional nationwide and international work including nights away from home when needed.
- Work as part of a double‑manned driving team when required.
- Provide a high standard of customer service, consistently meeting customer expectations.
- Accurately complete and return all required documentation at the end of each shift.
- Comply fully with driving hours regulations, legislation, and company policies.
- Annual salary up to £40,656.53, paid monthly.
