THE PERFECT CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in estimating commercial construction projects, a strong understanding of industry’s best practices, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors in a collaborative and supportive team culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reads and interprets drawings, specifications and RFQ documents for prospective projects.
  • Responds timely and thoroughly to bid requests, ensuring bid packages are complete and consistent.
  • Develops labor, material, equipment and subcontractor estimates for prospective projects and develops estimates incorporating all costs for review by company leadership.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, material prices and industry trends.
  • Track historical cost data to improve future estimates.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids.
  • Develop preliminary work schedules.
  • Highly involved with project team’s preconstruction and early construction handoffs.
  • Maintains a high degree of integrity, loyalty and honesty by not divulging confidential information pertaining to Coast’s operations or bids.
  • Seeking new work opportunities or improving existing systems or processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management/10+ years of commercial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and building codes.
  • Proven expertise with estimating/accounting software (e.g., Sage, Bluebeam, Building Connect or other project management software).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
