CT Technologist - Cat Scan - Part Time​/Nights - REQ

Job Overview

The CT Technologist - Cat Scan - Part Time/Nights role at Antelope Valley Medical Center is responsible for providing technical skills in the CT Department, operating CT equipment to produce high-quality images, and delivering quality health care and customer service.

• Operate CT scanner, table, and gantry.
• Maintain optimal performance and safety of all CT equipment.
• Properly position patients for CT examinations.
• Use radiation protection for patients and staff.
• Follow established protocols and perform ordered exams correctly.
• Assess patients' labs, medications, and allergy history.
• Administer IV contrast and use contrast warmer.
• Complete examinations and execute PACS and RIS.
• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures.

• Schedule patient appointments.
• Transport patients as needed.
• Order and stock supplies.
• Answer telephones.

• Knowledge of CT protocols and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to operate CT scanner, table, and gantry.
• Ability to assess patients' lab values, medications, and allergy history.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Graduate from ARRT Accredited Radiological Technology Program.
• 2 years of experience preferred.
• PACS and RIS experience.

• CRT from State of California.
• RT ARRT.
• Fluoroscopy certification.
• ARRT in Computed Tomography.
• BLS certification.
• Venipuncture certification.
