We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Histology Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the preparation and examination of tissue samples, contributing to accurate diagnoses and patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, aseptic techniques, and medical terminology within both clinical and research laboratory settings.
Responsibilities- Prepare and process tissue specimens for microscopic examination.
- Perform histological staining and embedding of samples.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in specimen collection processing, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures and results.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality control measures to uphold laboratory standards.
- Proficient knowledge of pathology and laboratory procedures.
- Experience with aseptic techniques in a clinical or research laboratory environment.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to histology and pathology.
- Ability to perform specimen collection processing, including phlebotomy when necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
