Location: Antelope Valley, California
Compensation: $29.49/hr – $41.66/hr (Base pay). The final rate will depend on education, experience, and skills.
OrganizationNorth Los Angeles County Regional Center (NLACRC) is a private, non‑profit agency contracted with the State of California, Department of Developmental Services. NLACRC provides services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, and Antelope Valley, serving populations from infancy to advanced adulthood.
Position SummaryAs an Officer of the Day Specialist, you will coordinate and monitor program plans, advocate for clients, and serve as a liaison between individuals, families, and community agencies. You will also rotate on‑call and emergency duties with other Service Coordinators.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, monitor, and evaluate individual program plans.
- Identify and coordinate services for individuals and families.
- Complete documentation, forms, and reports per regulations and NLACRC policies.
- Advocate for clients with community agencies.
- Schedule and attend interdisciplinary meetings with clients, families, providers, and advocates.
- Identify barriers to service delivery and implement culturally sensitive, empathetic solutions.
- Participate in on‑duty rotations, assist co‑workers with special projects, and provide emergency on‑call coverage as needed.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or a related human services field; a master’s degree may substitute for experience.
Experience: Two years of related experience in a human services setting.
Skills: Understanding of family systems, person‑centered planning, organizational abilities, independent and team work, strong verbal and written communication, proficiency with MS Word and Outlook.
Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation (or acceptable substitute).
