Overview

Easterseals is dedicated to equity, inclusion and access through disability and community services. The organization serves more than 15,000 people annually with programs spanning early childhood, autism services, daily living supports, employment programs, veterans’ services, public education and advocacy. The role reports to a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (Assoc. Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Supervisor, or Regional Clinical Director) and provides program management, supervised intervention services, and program development for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related disabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise Behavior Interventionists to ensure accurate data, maintain program records, and conduct regular data reliability and fidelity checks. Lead monthly progress updates for each family served with the program team.
  • Assist in creating and delivering targeted intervention activities and provide parent education according to treatment plans and individualized assessments. Monitor skill acquisition of clients with ASD in natural settings.
  • Complete necessary documentation including evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports and exit summaries; maintain other program and participant-related documents and reports.
  • Provide and coordinate ongoing competency-based staff training. Attend staff meetings, in-services, treatment planning, trainings, and other requested meetings.
  • Stay current with new research and developments in autism, ABA, and related fields. Maintain professional and courteous communications with participants and families; relay parental concerns to the case supervisor promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in early childhood education/development, early childhood special education, special education, or psychology. Must have and maintain current CPR certification.

Experience
  • 2 years of professional experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and scientifically validated methodologies beneficial for children with ASD; familiar with current research findings.
  • Familiar with Applied Behavior Analysis approaches; competent in employing/directing methodologies including Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), PECS, BST, and EFA.
  • Familiar with early intervention and knowledge of community resources and agencies serving children.
  • Strong clinical, administrative and leadership skills; ability to interpret and implement policies, procedures and regulations; sound judgment and decision-making.
  • Commitment to customer service and professionalism; effective oral and written communication; ability to work with diverse individuals and families.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in sensitive situations and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and TB test; provide proof of required vaccinations or positive titer (signed declination may be acceptable for certain vaccinations).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record/fingerprint clearance from DOJ/FBI as required by Easterseals Southern California and program requirements.
Logistical Details

Travel:
Up to 30% local travel. Must maintain driving record in compliance with Transportation Safety Standards; maintain auto insurance and vehicle registration. Occasional lifting; standing and walking as part of duties; occasional or frequent movement to observe, assess, and interact with participants.
