Position Overview
Dimondale Adolescent Care Facility is hiring a full-time, on-site Therapist to provide clinical services to youth ages 12–18 in a Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP). This position carries a caseload of six youth and requires availability for crisis situations.
CompensationStarting salary: $70,000 (negotiable based on experience and licensure).
Work EnvironmentThis is an in-person role. All clients are also housed on-site.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual, group, and family therapy
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and create treatment plans
- Offer crisis intervention
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and case management teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with DMH and agency standards
- Participate in agency meetings and ongoing clinical supervision
- Complete resident psychosocial assessments and provide diagnoses
- Formulate treatment plans that promote development and maintenance of individual goals designed to facilitate individual growth, improved social interaction, the ability to manage mental illness, and living independently
- Be available for crises and provide crisis intervention as needed
- Registered or licensed with BBS (ACSW, AMFT, LMFT, LCSW, Psy.
D with waiver, or Licensed Psychologist) - Master’s degree in a mental health field
- Experience with adolescents and mental health treatment
- Experience utilizing Exym is a bonus
- Ability to work full-time and participate in on-call crises rotation
- Demonstrate ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrate effective communication skills, adaptability, dependability, and initiative in carrying out responsibilities
- Must be 21+ years old
- Must possess a valid California driver’s license and be able to safely operate a motor vehicle and be insurable by Dimondale's insurance carrier
- Must pass Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), and Child Abuse Index Check (CAIC) background clearance
- Current CPR/First Aid Certificate (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Must complete Pro‑ACT certification within 30 days of hire
- Experience working with at-risk youth or in a similar social service setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Familiarity with HIPAA and DMH compliance
- Ability to manage a caseload of 6 youth effectively
- Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care
