We are seeking an experienced Travel ER Nurse for a high-acuity Emergency Department assignment located in Lancaster, California. About the Role
The Travel ER Nurse will be responsible for providing rapid response, patient assessment, triage, and stabilization within an Emergency Department environment. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with trauma, cardiac events, respiratory compromise, and complex patient presentations. Familiarity with high acuity workflows is essential. This role requires consistent communication with interdisciplinary teams, excellent prioritization skills, and a commitment to delivering high quality patient care during fluctuating and sometimes high volume situations.
Location and Schedule
This position is located in Lancaster, California. The schedule includes a day shift with a 6am start time. Travelers may select from 3x12 hour shifts or 4x12 hour shifts depending on assignment availability. The assignment duration is 13 weeks with the possibility of extension based on unit needs and performance.
Compensation
This role offers competitive weekly pay with two primary schedule options.
Weekly gross for 36 hours: $2400.12
Weekly gross for 48 hours: $3200.16
Earnings include taxable hourly pay, non taxable stipends, and overtime calculated at 1.5x. Pay is dependent on schedule selection and adherence to shift commitments.
Candidates must meet the following qualifications for consideration:
- Active California RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
- Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and MAB or CPI certifications
- Strong clinical competency in triage, rapid assessment, and high acuity care
- Ability to work scheduled weekends and holidays
- Experience in fast paced, high acuity emergency environments
- Strong IV insertion skills and familiarity with emergency medication administration
- Experience with standardized emergency protocols
- Proficiency with common EHR systems used in emergency settings
- Solid teamwork, communication, and adaptability
