Job Description

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at checkout, ensuring contents are not damaged and striving for at least five items per bag.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from baskets for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform shelf conditioning, inform customers of specials, and return merchandise to shelves.
• Gather and return shopping carts, clean spills, pick up trash, and clean store areas.
• Handle seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
• Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and comply with food safety regulations.
• Inspect equipment, report repairs, and create a welcoming environment for customers.
• Adhere to laws and company guidelines, work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, and manage conflicts professionally.
• Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer Service skills
• Effective communication skills

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Retail experience preferred but not required
