• Read and write Spanish/English; interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, frequently up to 45 lbs, and occasionally up to 60 lbs.

Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, the Bakery Clerk provides customer service and performs various tasks within the bakery.

Duties include:

• Assist customers with bakery purchases.
• Clean shelving and display cases.
• Fill, rotate, and maintain self‑serve displays in front of the store and adjacent to the bakery.
• Work with customers to take special orders.
• Collaborate with the baker to determine items that need to be baked or decorated.
• Help with department cleaning by hosing down floors with soap and water.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store. Essential functions include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory requirements. For more information, please reference the complete job description at the store.

Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for all positions related to food preparation, handling, and serving.
